Kat Dennings will kick ass at this, or: TWLOHA Trailer Speculations

To Write Love On Her Arms is a non-profit that helps people with mental illness, specifically depression. I’ve heard some bad things about the organisation and a lot of good things, and personally, I like them a lot. So when I saw Kat Dennings is in the lead, I got really excited. And now that I watched the trailer… I’m so excited.  The story’s about the inspiration for founding TWLOHA, a woman who’s battling with drug addiction, manic depression and self-harm.

With projects like these, there’s always doubt. Is the film very obviously for money-grabbing, will the film be bullshit, will it be super cheesy and lame… I can’t know. This film was filmed in 2011 and was shown at Omaha film festival in 2012, but wide release is in March next year.

What do you guys think? Am I way behind and talk about this film happened years ago? Is anyone else excited, too? After having seen and loved Begin Again, I can’t wait to see a film that has music in its essence. I’m excited!

  1. I really want Dennings to become the film star she should have been years ago, so I’m hopeful, but the trailer reads very YA to me, which is never a good sign…and yet, Woodley soared so high with The Fault in Our Stars this year, so there is always hope that this could be Dennings ‘Fault’.

    • I’ve never understood why the only times I’ve seen her is for two seconds in Thor and in that piece of crap called 2 Broke Girls. She is so much better than that! I hope she scores some great things after TWLOHA too.

  2. Looks like an interesting movie! It must speak highly about the movie if the distributor has been trying to get it released for almost three years. Hopefully this will do well for Dennings! 🙂

  3. This looks pretty cool, I would watch it! I’ve never seen Kat Dennings in anything other than that awful 2 Broke Girls show so I’d be interested to see what she could do in a dramatic film.

Love your new header, by the way! 🙂

  4. Looks interesting and I like Kat Dennings so I hope it does well.

  5. Aw, I really like Kat Dennings so I hope this works out well for her.
